ATE1-65 TEC Modules

This TEC (Thermoelectric Cooler) module, ATE1-65-R8A,has 65 pairs of Peltier elements inside with a maximumvoltage of 8.3 Volt. They are designed for regulating thetemperature of the target objects precisely and can becontrolled by our TEC controllers to build highly stable andefficient temperature regulating systems. The ATE1-65-R8ATEC can be used with our thermistors as well to achieveprecise and stable temperature sensing.

The ATE1-65-R8A TEC comes in with highly flat bareceramic surfaces on the both sides, they can be mounted ontoflat metal surfaces by inserting thin layers of thermallyconductive filler materials, the so-called thermal pads, orplacing a thin layer of thermal paste. When mounting, makesure that proper pressure is applied constantly to keep goodthermal contacting between the metal and the TEC plates,minimizing thermal resistance between them.

The TECs can withstand strong orthogonal forces applied tothe surface, but very vulnerable to tangent forces, especiallyshocking tangent forces. A small shocking tangent force cancause the Peltier elements crack inside. The crack may notcause operation problem initially, but it will grow with time,causing the TEC resistance to increase slowly, by the end, theTEC will stop operating.
