Recently, Analog Technologies, Inc, hereinafter referred to as ATI, developed a multifunctional Piezo driver ATPD300V2A. Piezo is a micro-displacement device based on the inverse piezoelectric effect of piezoelectric ceramic. However, due to the disadvantages of piezoelectric ceramics, such as hysteresis, creep and displacement nonlinearity, the displacement output is related to the electric field strength and the input voltage. The use of piezo drive for solid deformation requires high precision, fast response, good stopping capability, low power consumption, no electromagnetic noise, small size, high density configuration, simple structure, etc. This multifunctional and highly integrated Piezo driver module is ideal for realizing control functions.(more)

ATLSXA201D is a high efficiency constant current laser driver module. There are 6 laser drivers in this series, of which the largest current one can drive 6A diode lasers. The “xA” in the model represents the maximum output current of the laser driver module, which can be: 500mA, 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A and 6A respectively. The ATLSxA201D series diode laser drivers are the upgraded alternative to the CWD-01-V2 laser drivers with shorter start-up times. Piezoelectric materials are crystalline materials that generate a voltage at the both ends when pressure is applied to them to deform the surface; the most important characteristic is the piezoelectric effect, including the piezoelectric effect and the inverse piezoelectric effect. Piezoelectric effect refers to the application of a force to the piezoelectric material for deforming the surface of the piezoelectric material, thus forming charges at both ends of the piezoelectric material. The inverse piezoelectric effect means that when an electric field is applied to the piezoelectric material, the piezoelectric material will generate mechanical deformation or movement in a certain direction, and when the applied electric field is removed, the deformation also disappears.(more)

Recently, we designed a high voltage 15A Laser driver with small size, ATLS15A218. It has both a wide input voltage range from 5.5V to 27V and a wide output voltage range from 0.1VVPS to 0.8VVPS. At the same time, it allows driving one or more laser diodes and its current can be as high as 15A. There is no need for heat sink with high efficiency. The output noise is low. It has a very small package with a 6 sided metal enclosure to prevent the controller and other electronics from interfering with each other. It’s very difficult to meet the above characteristics for laser driver at the same time.(more)

Peltier cooler is also called the thermoelectric cooler, and its principle is the Peltier effect. Thermoelectric coolers can generate both heating and cooling thermal power when applying an electric DC current at different directions. The current direction determines cooling or heating. The current magnitude determines the effect of cooling or heating. A peltier controller is a must for controlling the peltier cooler automatically. The PID control system comes with high precision, which can be used to control the current of peltier controller for achieving high precision temperature control effect.(more)
